Crafting Items

Let's now tackle the fun part: crafting items.

Accessing the Workstation

To craft an item you must first open your workstation's menu by shift right clicking it or by right clicking it holding the required tool. The workstation used to craft a particular item should be shown in the recipe's menu.

This will open a crafting grid where you can put the components in order to craft your item:

Crafting the Item

Once you think you've positioned all the required items, hit the craft button on the left. Should the recipe match, your item will appear in the right slot.

The bottom slot is the reagent slot. You might have recipes requiring some items to be placed there.

Advanced Recipes

Some recipe might be tagged as advanced. This means that you have to successfully perform a crafting task in order to craft your item. Should you fail you'll loose the components you used for the recipe!

Advanced Anvil Recipe

The advanced recipes using the anvil require you to hit the dark spot of the "hammering" menu until the progression bar below is full. If you're too slow or you hit the wrong spot, the progression bar is reduced. If the progression bar reaches 0 the crafting process is failed.

Advanced Forge Recipe

The advanced recipes using the forge require you to keep the forge's temperature where it is using the "heat up" and "cool down" buttons. When the temperature is prefect, the temperature bar will be green. The colour will change to blue or red should the forge be too cold or too hot. If the temperature goes too much out of the way the crafting process fails.

Advanced Enchantment Recipe

The advanced recipes using the enchanting table require you to quickly get rid of the specified colour by clicking on the coloured tiles of the enchanting table. If you're too slow or select the wrong colour, the enchanting process will eventually fail. The colour to remove is displayed in the bottom of the menu.

Advanced Brewing Recipe

Advanced brewing recipes are simply recipes using the vanilla brewing stand just like for any other potion. But watch out for the ingredients of the brewing process as they might use items that are not usually usable in the brewing stand.

Levelling Up

When you craft items matching your profession skills you'll increase your profession level. Increasing your profession level unlocks further and more powerful recipes.
